Born in 1962 to Czech immigrant parents, raised in rural northern Michigan, now living with my partner Doug, in Durham NC. I have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and after working as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry, I am now happily employed as a professor of biology.
I am all about family... the ones we are stuck with from birth and the ones we are lucky to enough to gather throughout life. This blog is a way for me to share my kitchen with my daughters and the rest of my extended family of friends and relatives.
If you are family, I want to feed you. If you are not family, I still want to feed you. I have only one rule at my table: Be nice or go away.
